The Policy of The Beaufort Shipping S.A. is to manage and operate vessels so as to ensure safety at sea, prevention of human injury or loss of life and avoidance of damage to the environment, in particular, the marine environment and to property.

 

The company develops implements and maintains acceptable standards of environmental protection, always in compliance with applicable rules & regulations, in parallel with Good Marine Practice.

The company is committed to take further action to reduce air pollution and to improve the energy efficiency of all ship related operations. It has established and maintains procedures to measure and limit the use of energy in its operations, which include provisions for:

• Minimizing energy waste;

• Promoting energy efficiency awareness;

• Implementing ship and voyage energy strategies to minimize use of energy; and

• Promoting co-operation with parties involved including charterers in order to facilitate energy efficient operations.

• In our efforts to enhance the energy efficiency of the shipboard operations, the Company is committed to:

• Establishing and maintaining a Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) specific for each vessel, which is regularly reviewed by all concerned Company departments and approved by the management of the Company. This Plan provides standard procedures and practices on

• best energy management, under the various operational modes of the vessels.

• Promoting energy efficiency awareness through training to the shore and seagoing personnel and implementing energy related Campaigns and other personnel incentive / motivating programs.

• Monitoring and complying with all applicable statutory requirements related to ship energy management.
